Sometimes getting up early is worth the effort, even if you are on vacation. But New York City is perfect for taking pictures 24/7, especially in the early morning.

We got up before 5am and took public transport from Williamsburg to Dumbo and the Manhattan Bridge. Not that we had almost perfect weather conditions – it was clear and cold – the iconic view of the Manhattan Bridge, probably one of the most photographed sites on Instagram, was not that populated as expected.

So we walked around there and finally made it to the Manhattan Bridge, which we walked with this incredible view of the skyscrapers in the early morning sun.

A very memorable start of the day and an opportunity to grab a coffee for our friends with whom we visited New York on our way back to the airbnb apartment. A classic win-win!
