les choux de créteil

What would you expect from a residential area architecture-wise? Normally not much. But when we had identified that these few houses near to Paris might be interesting, we decided to go there with our gear loaded.

Les Choux de Créteil is a residential area in the south-east of Paris. We went to Paris anyway to take brutalism pictures and the sources that we had indicated that this might be an interesting venue. And we were not disappointed.

The residential area was build in the late 1960s and impresses the viewer with its expressive cylindrical buildings. The most iconic of these buildings is for sure the shape of its balconies, which also gave them their name, translated: cabbage of Créteil.

Being lucky with the weather and the wonderful morning light, we spent some time there and took a lot of photos from different perspectives and settings. This was really a wonderful opportunity to take architecture photos.
